Ethnographic Textiles

The Otago Museum has an extensive collection of basketry and textiles from the Pacific, including the rolled tapa you can see in this shot. In the boxes on the shelves is textiles from Papua New Guinea. The unit with the canoe on top stores textiles lying flat, including Maori cloaks.
