Dry Store

This store room contains nearly all of the Natural Sciences collections. The shelving is mobile, allowing much more compact storage. The room is climate controlled, with a constant temperature and realative humidity. Directly in front of you is a small moa skeleton, beside it a cassowary. As you rotate to the right, the cabinets you will see house the insect collections. The Otago Museum has a New Zealand insect collection of international importance. The cabinets you can see in this shot are full of butterflies. The objects on the trolley are some of those that you can browse on this website.
